Facility Explorer — Help

Every facility — a screen, report or program — in the standard Ross ERP 8.0 client menu, keyed by its facility code (e.g. AP_M_011 = Suppliers). Each is enriched from the GEM_FACILITIES registry with its class, primary entity, program and help text, plus every menu path that reaches it.

Two views

FacilitiesFlat, searchable list of every unique facility. Open one for its class, primary entity, the program it runs, what it does, and all menu locations.
Menu TreeThe client menu exactly as it nests — Master › module › folder › facility.

Search & filter

Search matches facility code, name, module, primary entity, program, help text and menu path. Narrow with the FIN / MAN database chips, the module selector and the class selector (Maintenance, Report, Inquiry, Transaction, Update, Archive…). A ×N badge marks a facility reachable from more than one menu location.

Tables

For facilities whose program source is present, a Tables section lists the real tables the program accesses (parsed from its FIND IN statements and validated against the Data Dictionary), split into Core — the working set the screen is built on — and Reference & control lookups. The ×N on each table is how many times the program references it; a W badge marks tables the program writes to (record lock, insert or delete) rather than only reads. Click any table to open it in the Data Dictionary. A read/write posture badge on the Tables heading summarises the whole screen — read-only if it never writes, or ✎ writes N for how many of its tables it mutates.

Related facilities (call graph)

When a facility's program invokes another facility's program in source (PERFORM "GEM<mod>:<prog>", resolved back to the target facility), a Related facilities section lists them in two directions — Invokes → (screens this one launches or re-uses) and Invoked by ← (screens that call this one). The ×N is the number of call sites; an ↗ marks an explicit EXTERNAL_ENTRY launch. Click any chip to jump to that facility. Calls to shared library/service routines are excluded — only facility-to-facility edges are shown.

Data Dictionary cross-link

Open a facility and use ↗ <module> tables in DD to browse that whole module's tables in the Data Dictionary. Facility metadata (class, entity, program, help) is reconstructed from the GEM_FACILITIES registry.

Facility codes and menu structure are read from the standard Ross ERP 8.0 client TOC. Customer-specific menu entries are excluded. Deep-link any facility by its code in the URL, e.g. #AP_M_011.
